Adult Chiropractic Care

Due to increasing workplace pressures, hectic lifestyles and limited time, we are seeing more and more people suffer from aches and pains. Improper posture, an imbalance in the working muscles and nervous system leads to chiropractic symptoms in adults.

Chiropractic care allows your body to function clearly and reduce spinal stress. It provides you a competitive edge to live your life to your liking, without concerning yourself on the effects of pain and distress an activity will have on your body.

Why is chiropractic care important for Adults?

Your body is a self-adaptive system, which lets you function in your day to day lives. This system is very important as it controls all our involuntary action (heart beat, temperature control, and breathing in and out).

In our adult lives, we spend a lot of time on our mobiles phones, laptops and being dormant or stationary. Over time, what this changes the posture of your body.

"Anterior Head Carriage"

As your head moves forward, every inch of movement causes our center of gravity to change.  With this change, the amount of stress placed on your body increases. Your whole body has adapted and compensates for the new change in posture.

This new compensation cause the muscles in the surrounding areas to work harder causing tearing and eventually leading to the point where you wake up one day, and think “we must’ve slept funny”.

Under chiropractic care and your unique care plan, the stress placed on the nervous system is reduced. As a result, muscles and ligaments relax and your body is able to adapt itself to the correct posture for you!

Lower Back Pain

Everybody suffers from lower back pain at some point in their lives. Is it normal? No!

Pain is your body's way of telling you there is something wrong with me. Pain should not be ignored or masked by over the counter drugs. The body is a complicated structure of joints, discs, bones, ligaments, and muscles. All or one can be damaged resulting in inflammation to occur in the surrounding area and placing pressure on the nerves. These nerves send signals to the brain, which we recognize as pain and reduce the ability to perform daily tasks.  We consistently place a lot of stress on our bodies every day, either with blunt trauma in a form of an injury or more commonly, repetitive trauma over time that places a lot of stress on the body, causing damage on our health. Till the point, where you bend down to lift something and you feel your back "go out of place".

How does Chiropractic help?

Chiropractic care focuses on the nervous system and removing the nervous interference that arises under excessive stress or inability to adapt to its environment.  By removing these interferences through gentle and safe spine adjustments, the body is better able to communicate to the brain. This reduces the inflammation or spasm of the lower back muscle and increases the motion and blood flow in the area of complaint. With an increase blood flow, the body is able to start the healing process thus resulting in the decreased sensation of symptoms and an increased the rate of recovery.
