Why Patients Choose ChiroMotion For Acupuncture

Unlike many clinics that provide acupuncture alone, our practitioners combine acupuncture, cupping therapy and massage techniques within the same appointment where clinically appropriate.

By addressing muscle tension, circulation and movement restrictions together, this integrated approach is designed to give patients the best possible opportunity for recovery and improved function.

Acupuncture & Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is a traditional technique often used alongside acupuncture to help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation and support recovery from injury.

By creating gentle suction on the skin, cupping may assist with tight muscles, restricted movement and areas of tension.

At ChiroMotion, our practitioners may combine acupuncture, cupping therapy and massage techniques within the same appointment where clinically appropriate, providing a more comprehensive approach to pain relief and recovery.

What To Expect At Your First Visit

Your first visit with us is about 60 minutes.

Please arrive around 20 minutes early to park in our patient carparks and complete a health history and any ACC forms if needed. We’ll then run a thorough examination, including musculoskeletal and neurological checks, with posture and gait analysis to set a clear baseline.

You’ll receive treatment on your first visit and we’ll outline an initial care plan. At your second visit, we review your findings in full, discuss whether any further tests are needed, and agree on visit frequency. Follow-ups are about 60 minutes.

Yes. ChiroMotion provides ACC-registered acupuncture care. If your condition is related to an accident, sports injury, workplace injury, sprain or strain, you may be eligible for ACC-supported acupuncture treatment. If you already have an ACC claim, we may be able to continue treatment under that claim where appropriate.

Many people visit an Auckland acupuncture clinic for back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, sciatica, sports injuries, muscle tightness, stress-related tension and ACC injury recovery. Your acupuncturist will assess your situation and recommend a treatment approach based on your symptoms and goals.

Combining acupuncture, cupping therapy and massage techniques may provide a more complete treatment session for pain, muscle tension and injury recovery. At ChiroMotion, these methods may be combined where clinically appropriate to give you the best possible opportunity for recovery.
